Presentation on LED lighting at ADM 2013 Conference
PRé visited the 5th International Conference on Advanced Design and Manufacture (ADM 2013) in Valencia Spain. Professionals from industry, consultancies and universities were present to share their knowledge.
The conference focused on the design and manufacturing area and covered topics such as environmental accounting, sustainable lighting, eco-design and production engineering.
Members from the EU FP7 myEcoCost Project consortium had several presentations to show the progress of this 3 year project. The aim of the project is to develop a resource use and material flows data gathering methodology including the software architecture needed to share the information.
Jorrit Leijting, Technical Analyst at PRé presented the ongoing research on LED commercial lighting on the first day of the conference at a special session on sustainable lighting. The slides of the presentation are now available online. Results of another EU FP7 project ‘cycLED’ was presented at the Sustainable lighting session aiming at a lesser use of scarce metals and the improvement of the lifespan of LED lighting products.
