I am convinced that the transformation to a more socially and environmentally sustainable society can best be achieved by measures that are based on holistic data-driven analyses. I see LCA as a powerful tool in this regard which can support us in making informed decisions, thereby enabling a safe future. I enjoy being a part of the effort in aiming for a planet on which we all can thrive.

As an LCA Data Analyst in the database team at PRé, Clara works mainly on the implementation of databases and impact assessment methods.

She obtained an M.Sc. degree in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University and TU Delft in the Netherlands. During her Master’s Clara specialized in analytical methods and tools for sustainability assessment, such as Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Input-Output Analysis (EIOA). In her Master thesis, Clara applied EIOA to investigate the distributional effects of a nitrogen tax in Germany.

During her Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Administration Clara studied for one year at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Medellín, Colombia. There, she focused on Environmental Economics, which, together with her experience gained at a not-for-profit organization promoting sustainable development, inspired her to pursue a career in sustainability.
