Junior Business Controller
Would you like to work in a fast-growing international organization that is engaged in sustainability? Are you eager to learn and focus on developing yourself? Are you service-oriented, proactive and motivated? Then you might be our new colleague in the Middle Office team! We are looking for a full-time (80-100%) Junior Business Controller who can preferably start on September 1.
At PRé, we help companies turn sustainability strategy into action. We provide consulting services, training and software solutions to our customers in more than 80 countries. Organizations reach out to us to measure, improve and communicate their sustainability performance. We also help them develop effective strategies based on life cycle thinking and integrate sustainability in the supply chain, product development or organization.
With everything we do, we strive to get closer to a more sustainable world through our science-based approach guided by innovation, transparency and collaboration values.
What you will be doing
As PRé is growing rapidly, we are looking for a new colleague who is excited to help us digitize, automate, and scale our financial processes. You will be responsible for part of the financial administration working closely with – and learning from – an experienced Controller. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on special projects such as analyzing pricing strategy, building forecasts, and budgeting to help PRé become future-proof. While you will start as a junior business controller, we’re looking for a colleague who is eager to learn and ready to grow with us and take on more roles in the future.
Besides financial performance, we would like you to also help us take an integrated look at the environmental and social impact of our business. In short, a challenging position with lots of variety and growth opportunities for someone who has a sustainable mindset!
We are looking for a highly motivated colleague who likes to work independently as well as in a team. You are proactive and accurate in your work. You like to have everything in order administratively, you are good at setting priorities and would like to develop further in your position. Most importantly you have a strong drive to make an impact in a purpose-driven environment. We also ask:
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO or WO) in finance, accounting, economics, or similar
- 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch languages
- Eager to learn
- Self-starter: you have a proactive, action-oriented mindset, and are excited about tackling new challenges
- Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills
- Experience with Salesforce & Exact Online is an advantage, but not a requirement
Working with us, you’ll be part of a highly diverse global culture that puts people first; our own and our customers. Our team of change-makers is passionate about sustainability and science, working together to solve challenging environmental and social problems. To sustain this passion, we make sure our people derive a sense of purpose, mastery and autonomy from their work. We believe in constant learning and knowledge sharing – and we give our employees the tools to develop to their fullest potential. We work efficiently and effectively, taking responsibility for the work we do, keeping our commitments with integrity and honesty, living up to the company’s core values.
At PRé, you will find a creative, inspiring and challenging international work environment with an open and informal culture. Competitive compensation, excellent development opportunities, on-the-job training and great responsibilities – all while contributing to a better world. In addition, we offer excellent remote working conditions and flexible hours to support your work-life balance. And, since we’re in the Netherlands, our job offer wouldn’t be complete without public transport compensation and a bicycle plan.
